Features

  • Applications- Redundant Power Packages should be considered for any equipment where the highest attainable reliability is essential, and an unexpected loss of power would be disastrous.
  • Input Redundancy- All Acopian Redundant Power Packages may be operated with only one AC power source. However, two isolated sets of AC input connections are provided, so that two independent sources o
  • Monitoring Circuitry- The Redundant Power Package contains two voltage monitoring circuits with relays, contacts of which are available to control external failure alarms or other circuitry.
  • Output Redundancy- Each Redundant Power Package contains two identical power supplies with their outputs interconnected through a diode switching arrangement that will detect any fault condition.
  • Overvoltage Protection- Automatic recovery. Each power supply contains an overvoltage protection circuit, to assure that neither power supply output will significantly exceed the nominal output voltag
  • Serviceability- A defective power supply can be rapidly and safely changed while the Redundant Power Package continues to furnish uninterrupted power to the load.
  • Theory of Operation- Each Redundant Power Package consists of the two power supplies installed in either a Rack Mounting or Wall Mounting assembly.

Specifications

    General
  • Alarm Relay Contact Ratings: 120 VAC, 8A / 60 Vdc, 1A. (To comply with SELV requirements, limit switched voltage to 60 Vdc / 42 VAC.)
  • Ambient Operating Temperature: -20 to +71°C.
  • Application: Computer; High Voltage; Instrumentation; Laser; Magnetic; Semiconductor / Thin Film; Telecommunications; Testing Equipment; Communication Systems, Process Controls
  • Backup mode: 0.2 volt less than nominal voltage shown in table.
  • Input Voltage: 105-125 VAC, 50-400 Hz, single phase.
  • Line Regulation: ±0.05%
  • Load Protection: Over voltage protection.
  • Load Regulation: ±0.05% (Dynamic regulation - does not include 0.2 volt shift which occurs during switching to lower-set backup supply.)
  • Number of Outputs: 1
  • Output Metering: A separate voltmeter for each output (standard). Ammeters available; see Options.
  • Overload/Short Circuit Protection: Fold back current limiting with automatic recovery.
  • Polarity: Output is floating; either positive or negative output terminal may be grounded or floated up to 300 volts above ground.
  • Product Category: Power Supplies
  • Remote Voltage Sensing: Provision for sensing the output voltage across the load, so that drops in the load line are compensated, is a standard feature.
  • Ripple: 1 mV rms.
  • Storage Temperature: -55 to +85°C.
  • Style: Enclosed Rack Mount
  • Temperature Coefficient: 0.02%/°C (Typical)
  • Voltage Monitor Circuits: One for each power supply. Relay contacts switch when output voltage decreases approximately 2 volts from the nominal rating (approximately 3 volts for outputs over 48 volts), and may be used to control an external failure alarm.
